OMG...Dragons of Autumn Twilight

Looks like someone finally decided to make a movie out of the novel. I bumped into this when I was looking up some other info on IMDB. From there, it led me to the movie site in this post's link. For any Dragonlance fans, this will be a must-see. I'm not sure how well the movie will turn out as an animated picture. Goodness knows the storyline would have been rich enough to support a LOTR type venture. But I did see Kiefer Sutherland cast as the voice of one of the main characters, hopefully that'll help keep the quality above par.

They sure will be compressing a LOT of storyline into a 1.5-2 hour movie. But if this pans out, maybe there will be some decent sequels, or maybe it could generate enough interest to spur a live-action movie. For anyone who's ever enjoyed D&D or fantasy environments, the first 6 novels of the Dragonlance series are classics. Dragons of Autumn Twilight was the novel that kicked it off, and helped buttress TSR's forway into novels. The Dragonlance series is still putting out novels under the Wizard's of the Coast label (think they took over TSR), but none of the recent stuff compares to the early novels they put out. You can even buy the first 3 or 6 novels in big compilation book sets, if you want help working out and have spare time on your hands.
